Courchevel & Les Trois Vallees Lift Passes

When you budget for a ski trip, the price of the ski pass is regularly, though unfairly, singled out as being expensive. Access to the 3 Vallees ski domain costs an adult skier 45 euros per day. When taken into account the sheer size of the ski area, the cost of the ski lifts and the daily maintenance required to provide absolute safety on slopes that are the envy of the world, the price is more than justified. Compared to elsewhere, the price of the passes in this French resort is unbeatable in terms of value for money and quality of the ski lift operation.

In 2005/06 the Three Valleys lift company introduced automatic hands free lift passes that operate turnstiles as you approach. Passport photos continue to be required for season, under 5yrs and over 70yrs passes. A morning only pass is now available (afternoon passes continue) and there is now a re-usable pass that can be re-charged via the internet.

The Courchevel Valley pass gives access to all the lifts in 1850, 1650, 1550, Le Praz and La Tania. It is possible to buy one day extensions to make it a 3 Valleys pass (Adult €22). This may be the best option if you plan to ski the Méribel side during your visit.

The Three Valley Pass allows use any of the 200 lifts and is recommended for most skiers and boarders to explore the entire 600km of pistes throughout Courchevel 1850, 1650, 1550, Le Praz, La Tania, Méribel, Mottaret, Méribel Village, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville and Brides Les Bains. Buying a 6 day or more Three Valleys pass permits skiing for 1 day in one of the following areas: Tignes / Val d'Isère (Espace de Killy), La Plagne / Les Arcs / Peisey Vallandry, Pralognan La Vanoise and Les Saisies.
