The skivo2 team
We have our own ski instructors who are of the highest BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) level and are also fully qualified to teach in France (having passed all of the stringent French speed tests and exams). All of our insturctors are British.
Dave founded skivo2 in 1988 when it was formerly known as The Three Vallées Ski Company. His experience is rich and varied having worked in both ski schools and as a race coach. Dave worked as a Trainer and Assessor with BASI for 18 years training at all levels through to ISTD. He is French qualified and a Canadian level two race coach.
Georgie is one of the skivo2 directors and a BASI ISTD instructor holding French Equivalence. She has been teaching for over twenty years and is an excellent all round mountain skier with an enthusiastic approach to her work. Georgie has taught all over the world spending periods in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Scotland.
Pat is Austrian, French and British qualified and has taught skiing all over the world. He has now been working for the skivo2 team for ten years. In a former life Welsh born Pat was an instructor for the British Army's ski team. He is also a trainer and assessor with BASI. Pat's other passion is singing and playing music. Having taught all day Pat plays live every other night here in Courchevel. It goes without saying Pat has endless energy and enthusiasm.
Rob joined us in 2008 and has quickly established himself as a very popular coach. Rob is ISDT French qualified and has taught all over the globe. He has a real passion for off-piste skiing and fronts up our La Grave trip. Rob lives locally all year round and in the summer months Rob’s focus is on road cycling and climbing.
Tom is in his twenties and joined the skivo2 team in 2010. He is a very talented young skier with a background in ski racing. He was one of the youngest fully certified French qualified instructors here in the Alps. Tom enjoys coaching at all levels but will work regularly on our Kids Academy Training programme this coming winter. He is a passionate adventurer and can be found climbing up the various peaks in the Courchevel area during the winter.
Blake started with us a Gap Student five years ago and having completed his entry level BASI Courses made the decision to pursue a career in ski teaching. He has quickly developed into an excellent skier and coach. He also runs our Fast Track Ski Instructor Training Programme and Kids Academy Training Programme. His passion and enthusiasm for skiing and teaching is infectious and we are absolutely delighted to have him on our team.
Sophie Readman is not only a very talented skier but a terrific instructress. To give you a little background Sophie was brought up in Andorra where her parents both worked as instructors. Skiing with the local club from a young age Sophie quickly graduated through the ski ranks and eventually spent 3 years with the British Ski Team. Having retired from ski racing she spent three years at University studying Sports Science before returning to the ski world as an instructress. Needless to say we are delighted to have Sophie with us as part of our ski instruction team.
