Once you have completed and passed the course you can look forward to having your BASI Level 1 and Level 2, allowing you to teach the world over (France requires an additional exam – the Test Technique).
Many of our students go on to complete work in Italy and Austria, although in recent years more and more of our students have headed down to Australia and New Zealand to work in ski schools during the 3 month ski season from July to September.
We have contacts in many countries all over the world and so can help to put you in touch with the relevant people to help you find ski instructor work.
Many people return to complete further training with us whether it’s the BASI 3, Test Technique or Eurotest.
We provide all of our students with references and take a keen interested in their progression in life, whether it is ski related or not. A lot of our students continue to work and be involved in the ski world because of the passion we have instilled, those that don’t instruct still come to visit us on their holidays.
Our testimonials section will give you an idea of where our students have headed after the programme.
Many of our students continue further along the ski qualifications path and start their ISIA (Level 3) and ISTD (Level 4). There are many modules in the ISIA and ISTD and depending on your circumstances we can advise you the best way of going about training. We will often recommend some element of race training as this is required to a high standard at ISTD level.
When you train with Skivo Academy it’s not just a course, you join the Skivo Academy team. We see our job as helping you in every way possible regardless of whether it is ski or non-ski related.
We speak regularly with all of our ex students and support their decisions in every way we can.
We work hard to keep a family atmosphere, our athletes work hard in training and we work hard helping them to achieve their goals.
