Performance Course Schedule
Ski Touring / Exploration in Les Trois Vallées
Dates: 09 April 2011
Skill level:
Course Content: This all day course will explore the outer reaches of Les Trois Vallées ski domain. It’s the perfect time of year to enjoy the
magical experience of ‘corn/spring’ snow and enjoy skiing all over
the valleys. Our team of coaches not only know where to find
the very best snow but also where it is at specific times of the
day. They will move around the mountain finding the best pitches
and terrain as the sun softens the snow and this makes for an
amazing ski experience. Although we will return to the chalet
each evening you will need to be fully equipped for back country
skiing with transceiver, shovel and probe. We hire this if need be.
Add £250 to normal holiday cost.
All Mountain Course
Dates: 08 January / 15 January / 30 January /
05 February / 26 February / 19 March 2011
Skill level: Good intermediates/advanced/experts
Course Content: This course is about enjoying and
experiencing the whole mountain. On piste, off piste, bumps, steeps
– we take you everywhere and show you how to deal with it!
During each week we have groups of different levels and the course
is structured in such a manner to improve your level with a mixture
of technical training and testing terrain. During the winter this
is our most popular course.
Technical Course
Dates: 15 January / 30 January / 26 February
/ 19 March 2011
Skill level: Good intermediates/advanced/experts
Course Content: Mainly piste based, this course
will move your skiing onto the next level. Fed up with mundane,
uninspiring instruction? Stuck at the same level and never improving?
Our coaches work on your technical skills on an individual basis
in small groups - it’s this attention to detail allied with
regular video analysis that makes the difference. If you want to
ski well in all conditions you must have a solid technical basis.
The truth is, if the technical skills are not automatic, your performance
breaks down when the conditions get more difficult (powder/bumps/
steeps). This course focuses specifically on your technique with
a wide variety of skills and drills to develop your performance.
Performance Breakthrough Course
Dates: 08 January / 26 February / 19 March 2011
Skill level: Enthusiastic intermediates able to ski red
runs
Course Content: Aimed at good intermediate skiers
who can comfortably ski on blue runs but have difficulty when the
terrain gets steeper. This course gives you the opportunity to work
with one of our coaches each day gradually stretching your boundaries
and developing your parallel skiing. There will also be a gentle
introduction to off piste on this course.
Bumps Specific Course
Dates: TBA
Skill level: Good short radius turns on red runs
Course Content: Specific course focused solely on bump skiing.
The week will start with short radius turns moving into small bumps as the
week progresses, developing your ‘range of movement’ (absorption
and extension). Finally we will conclude by working on the bigger bumps. Our
instructors will develop your mogul skiing in a clear and easy to understand
way - giving you confidence and new skills, making bump skiing easy and fun!
