What Our Clients Say
A selection of our many testimonials

We have returned from Courchevel and wanted to say thanks to all the staff there as they went above and beyond what we expected.  One of our suitcases was lost at Luton.  When we collected our peeordered skis not only did they help with messing kit until the bag arrived but even lent me a pair of salopettes for a day. Not expected and saved me time, hassle and not to mention money!!  (Nicki Brockhurst, External Guest, March 2017)

Dear Tracey.  Just wanted to say what a wonderful holiday we had recently.  Chalet Yalet was great and my friends and I are keen to return next February.  I think what made it so good was all the friendly help from the very start, to getting there and getting skis etc sorted out.  The chalet staff were great, and a big shout out for Tom our ski instructor who really helped to improve our skiing with excellent tuition and endless patience.  The only negative was paying a single supplement  but on the plus side better as no one was snoring in my ear!!  A big thank you to all, from yourself right the way through.  (Karen Duck, Chalet Yale, February 2017)

Hi Dave, a huge thanks from us all for a great week in Le Praz and the 3 Vallees. Blake on the white stuff was magnificent and the girls in the chalet took great care of us for the whole week. See you next time.  (Marcus Mackenzie and the Crew, Chalet Roger, March 2017)

I bumped into you last week when we were staying in Chalet Yale. I just wanted to say that Debs and Dzifa were really great, very helpful and cheery.  Debs made a real effort with gluten free things for me and I just wanted to make sure that I gave both girls a well deserved thank you. Thanks also to you Tracey Martin for helping us have a lovely stay! I hope the snow continues for the rest of the season!! (Marion Ryan, Chalet Yale, January 2017)

We have just finished our week in Chalet Elise and we had a fabulous time, once again. The weather was, and still is, absolutely amazing. I can’t remember having ever had bright sunshine for the all week, especially in January.
We all had such a great time that we would like to book Chalet Elise again next year. The staff was delightful, as always. (Genevieve Huard, Chalet Elise, January 2017)

I would just like to thank you for a great week skiing. It is no wonder so many of your guests are repeat visitors. Please also pass on my thanks to the staff at Chalet Roger: Vicky, Lauren, Ceri and Anne. (Mike Black, Chalet Roger, January 2017)

Just a quick email to thank you all for a terrific week with Skivo again last week. Amanda done a fantastic job in her first proper week in the chalet, and Adrian and Blake were great instructors on the slopes. (Duncan Freestone, Chalet Maison Beaufort, January 2017)

Thanks again to you and your team for an excellent ski holiday! It was a pleasure for us to bring our kids to Le Praz/Courchevel 15 years after first coming there ourselves as a couple. The warm welcome, hearty meals, nice wines and ski instruction were great and I know that the new group of people we brought with us also had a fantastic time….and I’m sure we will all be back in the not too distant future. Please pass our thanks on to all who helped make this a special trip! Thanks again.  (Stuart Brown, Chalet Nicola, January 2017)

We are having a great time Tracey. Debs and Dzifa are looking after us very well and Rob very efficient in the boot room. Met Lynn and Tracey there with passes. Tom is great fun as well as educational in lessons. TBH, the snow is better than we expected and of course it’s thin in bits but there’s loads of skiing for our short break. Happy as always with the skivo team and package. (The Somerville Family, Chalet Yale, January 2017)

Hi Tracey.  We had a great time, the chalet was lovely and comfortable, and the girls did a great job of cleaning it and cooking some lovely meals for us too.  I’d like to add a big thank you to everyone who helped after I injured my knee and brought my skiing to an abrupt end, I was certainly glad to have the services of skivo in getting me back from the medical centre after my x-ray, and Rob was brilliant in getting help for me on the slopes.  I am making a good recovery, though the French doctor was sadly wrong and I did rupture my cruciate ligament after all – both knees had strained ligaments and bruised bones but really nothing too bad.  Nothing to stop me skiing next Winter.  All being well we hope to book with skivo again sometime next Winter!  (Helen Ewers and Family, Chalet Yale, December 2016)

A fabulous holiday thank you. One of the best from a chalet host/chef point of view. We all really enjoyed ourselves. I recreated one of the soup recipes one night here for some dinner guests. I hope the season brings you some more snow and look forward to seeing you again next year. Please pass on our thanks to all again. (Tim Parkes, Chalet Elise, December 2016)

Thank you Tracey, yes thoroughly enjoyed Christmas there again, accommodation, staff, food as usual very good. (Dennis Marsh, Chalet Nicola, December 2016)

Our holiday last week was everything we hoped it would be. The chalet, food, staff and lessons with Tom and Pat were all great and looked after us very well. We can’t blame you for the snow! The ride down to the gondola in the morning was very useful and saved us a lot of hassle – we hired a locker down there too which was a worthwhile idea given the circumstances. A great holiday and one that, in the right circumstances, we would repeat. (Julie and Chris Dunn, Chalet Nicola, December 2016)

My boys and I had a great week and it was much appreciated that Dave took us over to Val T a couple of times to get some different skiing. Chalet staff, food etc all good. (Scott Waller and boys, Chalet Roger, December 2016)

It was a wonderful holiday.  Iona and Fraser were the best, Pat was his usual excellent self, not sure about Dave’s new look of white helmet though. (Fred Baxter and family, Chalet Rosalie, December 2016)

Thank you both so very much for helping make our week such an enjoyable one. Ann you are a brilliant chef and we both really enjoyed all our meals, the afternoon cakes were also a real treat. Mike you are the perfect host always being at hand to help in anyway you could from the moment we arrived.  Happy New Year to you both and enjoy the rest of the season.  The chalet was excellent in every way and would also like to thank you for providing us with breakfast when we first arrived at 7am which was a real bonus.  Hopefully we will return sometime. (Robin and Linda Robinson, Chalet Sapin Bleu, December 2016)

A quick thank you note to all involved in our holiday. Everything was great, even managed to book blue sky and superb snow. We were well looked after from airport transfers, ski fitting, chalet, staff and lessons. Special thanks to Pat for providing brilliant tuition. Thanks to you as well for making the booking easy and keeping us well informed throughout. (Mark & Susan Stainsby, David and Jayne Hallett, Chalet Elise, January 2016)

Just returned from another fabulous week with yourselves. Myself, Allan, Kerr and Ewan had a blast. The service received from the chalet chef, Siena, host Dzifa, sandwich service, Lyn, Gabbi, Alex and Damian and our instructors Rob and Pat was top notch. Thank you all for your attention to detail and personal, caring service from the booking process to the return transfer. Just what we all needed Tracey. Best wishes for the rest of the session (Jacky Barrack, Chalet Nicola, January 2016)

Dear Tracey,  I hope you are having a fabulous last week, interested to hear how the snow is that late, as we may be doing that week next year? Just dropping a wee line to say huge thanks for another fabulous week with skivo, it’s such a pleasure to feel part of the extended family if only for a week.  We had a brilliant time in Chalet Yale with Iona and Lewis, after putting up with our very late arrival on the Saturday, and despite this all was in place for us on Sunday to get our gear and passes and all ready for lessons at 9am.  We had brilliant instruction but a special mention to our ‘zen master’ Pat! from the grown ups and Blake and Tom from the girls and Robbie.  The view up the hill from Yale is with me back at work, as are the memories of skiing home despite the lateness of the season.  Massive thanks to Tracey and Susan for all your help and advise along the way,and we are looking forward to joining you next year.  (Love from the Somerville and McLeish families, Chalet Yale, April 2015)

Hi Tracey.  I just wanted to say what a fantastic holiday we had – the other people in the chalet were really lovely, as were our host and cook and the crèche worked really well so please can you pass on our thanks to everyone.  I was just wondering when we are able to book for next year?!  Many thanks.  (Annie Lee,  Chalet Yale, March 2015)

Thanks both of you for another great ski holiday in March this year.  I tried the ski train to the Alps for the first time and luckily the journeys there and back went well; and both the outgoing and return minibus transfers to the resort went smoothly (as the train journey itself is so long, it’s a relief to have a quick and efficient minibus transfer!).It was great to be on the slopes again; we were fortunate with the weather and snow conditions, and there were some really friendly people in the holiday group once again.  The hosts/chefs at Chalet Roger were very cheerful, friendly, welcoming and helpful and the food was brilliant as usual (and as always there was plenty of food to go round).   Thanks again to both of you, and I look forward to booking another skivo holiday soon.  (Chris Rugg, Chalet Roger, March 2015)

Hi Tracey, we’re back from our first week with skivo2 and just wanted to say what an amazing week we had. Our host and chef were a delight and made everyday special for us.  The level of ski tuition was also great and the kids enjoyed every minute!  (Jayne Whitbread, Chalet Sapin Bleu, March 2015)

We had a fantastic time.  I think we had an even better time than in December which is saying something.  I honestly think skivo2 is the skiing world’s best kept secret! Not that we won’t be recommending you of course but it is amazing hearing of what other people put up with when we are so spoiled rotten.  Anyway Iona and Lewis were fantastic again. Really nice to see that they were totally pro at the end of the season. Dave took us for lessons so it was nice to catch up and reminise about our time with Sheila too.  His daughter Amy looked after the kids lovely and Susan and Simon were great again.  Chambery makes a huge difference in terms of airport hassle. It took about 1 hr 15min which I know can be longer in traffic but we struck it lucky. Can’t leave without saying a huge thank you to you again for being so organised and helpful as always.  (Helen Godfrey, Chalet Yale, March 2015)

Thank you so much for yet another amazing holiday!! Can’t believe that’s my 7th consecutive March week in Courchevel. For me, I really don’t think it can be improved upon. It was just perfect – lovely people, lovely welcoming chalet and hostess and food, beautiful location, wonderful ski instruction – and great skiing! We even had Dave Beattie drive us back to Moutiers. The train was lovely, as always and it was especially nice to see a few familiar faces at the station and on the train.  I thought it was great how the holiday appeared to run itself (I’m sure there was heaps of work going on in the background!) If you haven’t stayed in Beaufort, Ann is great and the food was superb. Hope to join you twice next year, fingers crossed.  (Louise Kennedy, Chalet Maison Beaufort, March 2015)

Just a quick email to thank you for such a wonderful holiday in Courchevel last week. I really cannot think of anything that could have made it better. I also think the apartment works really well and is super value.  Tracey the skivo2 format and the staff are excellent. I got the feeling that anyone in the team would be as helpful and friendly, but especially thanks to Simon and Susan, to Georgina for her guiding, patience and sense of humour, and Blake in the ski cave who made me sound like I know what I was talking about even though he and I really knew I didn’t….. Also the chalet team were wonderful and the food awesome. I would like to send a few messages of thanks.  Le Praz is a really nice village too – the best in the valley I think by a long shot.  Far and away my favourite skiing holiday – I will be back if allowed!   (Howard Lewis, Chalet Roger & Apt, March 2015)

Hi Dave.  I’ve just returned from Le Praz following a fabulous week and wanted to thank you directly.   Every member of skivo2 staff that I met was polite and friendly and a credit to you and your organisation.  For the second year running, I stayed in Maison Beaufort and Ann deserves special mention.  She is a great hostess and cook, makes running the chalet look effortless and nothing is ever too much of a problem for her.  Of course, Emma helps make this possible too.  Thanks to Pat, I feel my skiing has improved and the lessons were enjoyable.  I know a lot of work goes on between you, Ruth Paul and your staff to make the Singlesport week special but it really is worth it.  Long may the collaboration continue.  Thanks again and best wishes.  (Kate Smith, Chalet Maison Beaufort, March 2015)

Thought I’d drop you a quick line to thank you for our best skivo2 holiday yet (our 7th!!!). Was nice to be back in Rosalie where Rob and Robyn did a fantastic job of looking after us. Dave, you’ve always said that Caitlin was a cracking wee skier but this season she blew us away after only a couple of lessons with Natalie….. 57.7mph she was clocked at!!!!! …. not bad for someone who has just turned 8!!  A big thank you to Natalie for bringing her on so much in such a short time. As usual,  the booking process was a breeze (thanks again Tracey) and the transfers were super efficient this year (thanks Simon).  All in all, another great holiday.  (Mike Bellis, Chalet Rosalie, March 2015)

Although even YOU could not have organised the blue skies and sunshine everyday – yet with good snow conditions!!!  Or did you!?  I have to make a very special mention about Dougal – he was the best host we have ever had (and that’s saying something, given how good most have been!).  Very professional.   (Jill & Peter Jackling, Chalet Elise, March 2015)

Just like to thank you for the great weeks skiing we have just had.  Rob and Robyn did you well proud and of course Rosalie my favourite chalet.  (Euan Bissett, Chalet Rosalie, March 2015)

Hi Tracey.  Having just returned from a week in Chalet Rosalie I thought I would drop you a line to say that, once again, we had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The Chalet was wonderful and Rob and Robyn were a fantastic chef and host. They certainly couldn’t have made us anymore welcome and the quality of the food was exceptional and that included the children’s meals.   As a family, we all had different ski coaches throughout the week. I had Pat who, being an old friend from back home,is always a pleasure to be with and his coaching certainly brings me on each and every year. My wife had Rob who was also great, but the cream on the cake for us was my son Llewelyn having a week of 1:1 tuition with Tom. Thanks ever so much for being able to tend to our request of him being in lessons with Tom. He had so much fun and was absolutely thrilled when Tom turned up for his first coaching session. The progress he made within the week was, in my opinion, exceptional. I know that it was down to there being no other children staying with skivo2 last week, but where else would he have had 1:1 tuition all in the package price of the holiday. I hope that you can extend our thanks to him (as we did).  The creche is always difficult to comment on as all we see is the part where we drop Dafydd off and then pick him up. That said, he seemed to thoroughly enjoy his time and the fact that there were no tears or protests when we left him speaks volumes.  At a time when everyone is concerned with value for money, I think that the services provided by skivo2 are unique and a cut above other packages that exist out there. We have, over the past three years, felt confident in booking a full family holiday with you that is stress free and focused on quality.  We will certainly be back again in 2016 and thanks once again for a fantastic holiday.  (Jason, Elen, Llew and Daf O’Brien, Chalet Rosalie, March 2015)

Before my ski break becomes a distant memory (I’ve been meaning to put pen to email for at least the last 2 weeks), I thought I’d just drop you alla line, to say how well the whole skivo2 experience came together for me. That is the first time I’ve skied on my own, but I hoped I would end upeither skiing with chalet friends, or class mates in David’s classes, and I think the last visit was with the previous 3 Valleys Ski company was in 1996or thereabouts ! As it turned out, I skied with both.  From the Zurich-diverted flight to Geneva on Saturday midday with its very significant delays, Sam was there with a cheerful smile to usher usefficiently back to Le Praz where Matt was still engaged with the skis at 8pm ish, so no time was wasted on Sunday morning.  Our chef and host, Iona & Lewis were still there to greet a late traveller, and throughout the holiday, I always felt they both went ‘the extra mile’ toensure that all chalet residents’ needs were met. I felt Iona’s cooking always hit the spot, whether for the main meals or the indulgent cakes – onreturning home, our scales proved this to be so ! if I had one small tip, it would be just great to have a ski locker at the ground floor of Yale, but thismaybe difficult due to ownership issues!  I was impressed with Pat’s intensity, and Tom’s more laid back approach, as I seemed to oscillate between the two classes.  In summary, I always felt that behind the scenes great co-ordination work was being put in hand to make the holiday as straightforward and hassle-free as possible. The one thing skivo2 can’t control is the weather, and I guess we could have been luckier. However, the picture comes up of the regal swan making everything look effortless, when all below water is probably hard graft.  So on my behalf please thank all those who made my break so enjoyable. (Giles Wilkinson, Chalet Yale, February 2015)

I’m sorry it’s taken a month to write to thank you and all your team for another fantastic holiday at half term in Chalet Roger.  Thank you and please pass our thanks to all your team in the resort, Blake, Susan and the Chalet team and your transfer company.  Thank you to Georgie for my lessons and a special thank you too to Tom and Rob from Oscar and from me for giving him such a good time (double lessons are definitely the way to go!).  Thank you, Tracey, for all your hard work to co-ordinate getting us there and back!  I hope you have a fun final few weeks of the season and hope to see you next year.  Happy trails!  (Fiona McKellar, Chalet Roger, February 2015)

I had meant to email you following our recent return but went straight back to work and ashamed to say it … I forgot… but would like to thank you and all the Skivo2 staff – we had another fantastic w/e from airport pick up, ski techs, resort staff, chalet host and chef, sandwich team, ski instructors to airport drop off… got to Geneva with time to spare!  Special mention to ‘bonkers’ Pat ‘king of the simile’ …he made my week…I will think skiing/edging/carving every time I butter my toast now!  (Nick Charles, Chalet Elise, February 2015)

Dear Tracey.  Thank you and all at skivo2 for a great holiday in Le Praz.  We all had a great time. All the members of your team did a great job. Everything went really smoothly with the transfers .The team in Chalet Roger did a great job looking after us.We all enjoyed our ski lessons. Thank you for your end in organising the whole holiday.  (Terry Snell, Chalet Roger, February 2015)

Just a quickie to say how much I enjoyed last week, so many thanks to all involved. An especially big thank you to Sue who persevered in finding me an earlier transfer down the mountain on Saturday.   Til next year!  (Caroline McLaren, Chalet Roger, February 2015)

Just wanted to say how much of a fantastic we had with you last week.  Every single one of the members of staff we spoke to was so interested in how we were getting on which I thought was so lovely as it was our first time skiing.  Hamish and Mollie in Nicola were just brilliant. They really are a credit to the company which I am sure you know already.  I am already thinking of our next holiday with the children when will your prices be out for 2015/2016 and how soon can we book.  (Jodie Brooks, Chalet Nicola, February 2015)

Just thought I would drop you a quick email to thank you and the whole skivo2 team for another wonderful week.  As usual everything was perfect from start to finish.  Please pass on thanks especially to Lewis and Iona who looked after us so well and Pat, Rob, Blake, Georgie and Lewis who got everyone in our group skiing much better!  I have already had Tom, Karen, Julie and Jonny asking me to get in touch about booking next year!  I appreciate you are still very much in this season but let me know when we can book up Yale for 2106.  The guys have already asked about same week or a week later. Let me know.  (Nial Chapman, Chalet Yale, February 2015)

Just to add our thanks re our recent week in Elise.  We were well spoiled and appreciate all at skivo2’s hard work. Hope you had a good week yourself we did leave you loads of snow.Well looks like we will be back next year for another week of fun and skiing.  Great to have another of your great holidays to look forward to.   Hope you have another cheeky wee week sorted for yourself.  (Jacquie Appleby, Chalet Elise, January 2015)

Hi Dave.  We’ve been home a week, and I want to say a big “thank you” to everyone at skivo2 for making our 2 weeks in Le Praz fantastic.  Firstly to Tracey for arranging our 2nd week at such short notice, then to Susan and all the chalet staff who were superb. Chalets were immaculate, and the food was superb!!  (We were in Elise the first week and Roger the second week).  And also to yourself, Georgie and all the instructors.  Philip and I love the instruction, (but we also love the All Mountain courses if we can fit our holiday in to coincide with the dates).  Didn’t manage that this time unfortunately. If we can get another week in Le Praz before the end of the season that would be great!!  Kindest regards to everyone. (Eileen and Philip Clark, Chalets Elise and Roger, January 2015)

May I take this opportunity in saying that I have been with skivo2 on two previous occasions and each time enjoyed immensely . But this time at such short notice even better . I spoke briefly with David one morning, your choice of staff at the Sapin Bleu could not have been better, the quality of Lucy’s cooking was exceptional and young Tilly a splendid host , nothing was too much trouble and I hope they enjoyed our company as much as we did theirs . I’d appreciate if you would pass on my regards. (David Blake, Chalet Sapin Bleu, January 2015)

We have just had an amazing holiday made possible by you at skivo2. Chalet Rosalie was very smart and comfortable and the lift was a great bonus after several hard days skiing with weary legs. We were very lucky to have Rob who is the most incredible cook and served imaginative tasty meals for the whole time we were there. I would also like to mention Robyn our chalet host who took great care in looking after us. If you are reading this, don’t hesitate and book this chalet immediately you won’t be disappointed. (Ski squad: Anthony, Kevin, Ray, Andrew, Gavin, Simone, Mike, Joanne, Chalet Rosalie, January 2015)

We had another really great family skiing new year with you in Courchevel Le Praz last week. Your skivo guys in the resort were as good as ever, and in particular Lucy and Tilly in our Sapin Bleu chalet looked after us brilliantly too.  We did have a nightmare journey on the Saturday (along with everyone else in the Alps) but the soft new snow and sunny skies for the rest of the week made it all worth it. Please do pass on our thanks to Dave, Georgie, Susan and all the team.  We enjoyed Sapin Bleu so much that we’d like to stay there again. (Angell Family, Chalet Sapin Bleu, December 2014)

Hi T.  Happy New Year!  Another fantastic week here – a great team with Emma & James and all the usual fun in the lessons.  (Creasy Family, Chalet Elise, December 2014)

Again a great week in the French Alps being pampered by the skivo 2 team. Despite less snow than usual, we skied the most we have ever skied. The resort pulled out all stops to make runs accessible. Chalet Nicola, was a new Chalet for us and very enjoyable, Hamish the Host set a roaring fire and was always ready with a smile and good humour … a fantastic young lad doing a brilliant job. Molly the chef produced scrumptious meals every evening, along with afternoon tea and breakfast, a hard working young lady. Hamish and Molly present themselves as a solid team and the Chalet has a relaxed, organised air. The provision and the daily sandwiches and the mini-buses to the Ski lifts in the morning were so appreciated. As always the instructors, Susan, Tracey and Dave provided a personal, professional service. Thank you to all at skivo 2.  (Jacky Barrack Chalet Nicola, December 2014)

Just to say that we had a brilliant holiday staying at Maison Beaufort over Christmas. It was perfect for us as a family group of 8. Anne was a fabulous cook and lovely person. She looked after us so kindly and Louise helped out at night.  We were all very comfortable though I don’t know how Anne managed to turn out so much superb food from that tiny kitchen! The cakes went down particularly well.  We all enjoyed the skiing, limited though it was and everyone made great progress ( I think I’ve already peaked) and the children absolutely loved every minute of the holiday. Hope you had a good Christmas too.  Happy New Year.  All the very best,   (Alistair & Liz Soane, Chalet Maison Beaufort, December 2014)

Hi Tracey,  As usual we have had a wonderful Christmas here in Elise, and James and Emma have been excellent hosts. (Jim Bell, Chalet Elise, December 2014)

Simon and Sarah have been absolutely first class.  Rating them on customer service and attention/product quality ie food and cooking/attentiveness and cleanliness – 10 out of 10.  They guys wer amazing.  (David Lang, Chalet Rosalie, January 2014)

Blake was an extremely good instructor, explained everything well, gave us confidence and all delivered with a smile.  Blake had a very nice manner about him.  We learned a lot.  Chalet staff extremely helpful and friendly/welcoming and chef Talia’s food delicious.  (Angela McConnell & Catherin Wild, Chalet Roger, Janaury 2014)

The chalet was fantastic, easily the nicest I have ever stayed in on a ski holiday.  Ann and Matt were a pleasure to deal with.    Will definitley be back.  (Ken Savage, Chalet Sapin Bleu, January 2014)

Hi Tracey.  Just to say we had a fab time with our week in Roger, with the Hair party,  and thank you for the efficient planning and friendly emails from you. We were really impressed with everything, and want to say how well run it is.  Our ski instruction with Blake was just fantastic, as his teaching methods were great, and clear explanations gave us confidence.  I have been telling people how good you are, and I know lots of the group want to book again!  (Mieke and Tony Jackson, Chalet Roger, January 2014)

Saran and Simon looked after us extremely well.  So much well cooked food.  We hope to be back.  (Bates Family, Chalet Rosalie, January 2014)

Would just like to say we have never been with skivo2 before but would certainly recommend you to anyone after the fab experience we had in December .  Perfect chalet (WiFi) would have been great but didn’t spoil the holiday.  The chalet girls put on a great spread every day and were very polite and very helpful.  Can’t complain about anything – we had a wonderful time.  (Linda Batey, Chalet Yale, December 2013)

Hi Tracey – now back to work.   Just to say, we had the best time with skivo2.  We absolutely loved it.  I hope we’ll come again with you in the future.  (Gemma Parker, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

Hi Tracey,  Hope you had a good Xmas and Happy New Year.  We are having another fantastic week in Elise. The chalet, staff and food are wonderful as usual. Rob’s cooking is superb and Catriona is fantastic and has looked after us so well and us and the kids are loving the lessons.  Just sat in the pizzeria in 1650 and planning holidays for next year. Could you put us on the list for this week next year please – ideally in Elise – as a group of 14 – this wld be the Creasy, McHugh, Planchak party plus 2 to be confirmed.  Think the 4 girls are planning another Kaprun week as well – for the last week of November – let us know when bookings are open.  (Kirsty McHugh, Chalet Elise, December 2013)

I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for another superb Christmas week of skiing this year, and I wanted to share a few comments with you. Catriona was by far the best chalet host we have had. She was very friendly, helpful and organised.  Her standards were very high, and the level of tidiness and especially cleanliness in the chalet and kitchen was excellent.  As usual the food was superb, and the wine was even better than last year. The skiing lessons were excellent and I particularly enjoyed the lessons with Pat, who I have not skied with before. All your staff are a credit to you and to skivo.  We are all looking forward to seeing you again next Christmas, if not before.  Rob and Cat have been fabulous hosts. We would like to book again for the Christmas week next year please.  (Jim Bell, Chalet Elise, December 2013)

Another fab skivo2 holiday Christmas 2013. Superb Christmas dinner at Chalet Rosalie, Sarah and Simon did a fantastic job – never seen anyone work so hard!  So nice to have it all done for us. And it surely must be snowing up top! (Tim Parkes, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

Hi Tracey, Thank you for organising the skis, they were wonderful.  We had a fantastic week please, pass on our thanks to the team.  (David & Karen Crabtree, Chalet Elise, December 2013)

Great food, especially the cakes were super.  (Liz Adams, Chalet Roger, December 2013)

Talia excelled as our chef this year.  Huge quantities of veg, excellent food and multiple combinations to deal with our complicated requirements.  She was fantastic.  Tay and Karina were professional, attentive, and friendly while respecting everyone’s space.  The make an excellent team.  (Duffy Family, Chalet Roger, December 2013)

Just a brief note to say many thanks to you and of course all the Courchevel team.   Rhys and Helen have been telling us for years that we should experience the skivo2 service, finally last year we made it and have not looked back.  We had a fabulous time last week in Chalet Yale, everything was just about perfect!  The food and service in our chalet was great and the coaching from Blakey, Pat and Rob was excellent.  We look forward to our next trip with skivo2 in 2014.  Many thanks again, please pass on our thanks to the team.   (The Peasons, Chalet Yale, December 2013)

Simon and Sarah have been amazing – I think the very best cook/host combo we’ve ever enjoyed with skivo2.  Exceptional cleanliness and food utterly wonderful.  Absolutely fantastic value and everything and more than we could expect for a wonderfully relaxed holiday.  skivo2 is a very hard habit to break.   (Zoe Le Cornu, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

Excellent chalet and host and chef.  Absolutley will come on holiday again.  (Lisa Stucliffe, Chalet Elise, December 2013)

Excellent all around, even better than last year.  Yes, will come on holiday with skivo2 again.  (Jez Heir, Chalet Elise, December 2013)

Another lovely week, thanks very much to all – great team work.  (Howat Family, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

Fantastic chalet host and chef.  Nothing too much trouble and am amazing Christmas Day.  They could not have worked harder.  (Parkes Family, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

Sarah and Simon first rate.  Credit to skivo2.  Well done.  (Roy Hay, Chalet Rosalie, December 2013)

2012/13 ski season

Just thought that I’d take the time out to say that we had an absolutely fantastic holiday with skivo2 last week. It was the first skiing holiday that we have had with our children and they absolutely loved it, which made life a great deal easier for us.  Our youngest was in crèche all day and our eldest had lessons. Not only were we pleased that he enjoyed the experience of skiing, but also that he seemed to take to it exceptionally well; the credit for this clearly goes to his instructor Tom, who we thought was absolutely fantastic and certainly knew how to bring the best out in Llewelyn. In the last day end of lesson session, we did not have time to thank him, so please could you extend our gratitude to him and hope that we will see him again next year. (As indeed does Llewelyn).  The quality of our adult lessons / coaching was also exceptional and knowing Pat from having grown up with him, I knew that his passion and enthusiasm would be reflective of the company.  Last, but not least, the chalet was also great. Very spacious and the adjoining room for us and the children made life a lot simpler. Sarah and Simon were great hosts / chefs and created a very relaxed and calm chalet atmosphere, despite having our kids running around. They certainly made a great effort with the children, and indeed with all of the guests. The food was also of a high quality and there was not one meal that was not enjoyed by all. Our eldest commented that they should be on “master chef”, and for a usually fussy eater, that is praise indeed!! The comments above are based upon our comparison of having been keen skiers for some 20years and having stayed with a range of companies in a range of chalets, as well as having been a chalet host myself in a previous life. I can genuinely say that skivo2 provided us with the best experience so far and we would have no hesitation in recommending all aspects of the service to our friends and will certainly be returning in 2014.  I would be very grateful if you could advise us of when we can book for 2014. ……and thank you all very much for a great holiday.  (Jason O’Brien, Chalet Yale, March 2013)

Just a short note to say how much Jane and I enjoyed our skiing holiday with skivo2. The whole package was excellent but we were particularly impressed with the standard of the chalet. The staff were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed Rob’s cooking. We both enjoyed and benefitted from Pat’s instruction which was excellent. Overall highly satisfied and would use skivo2 again and recommend to others. (Gordon and Jane Henry, Chalet Rosalie, February 2013)

Just a quick note to say that we all had a fantastic weeks skiing over February Half Term. Elise was a great chalet and Ellen and Donna worked fantastically to keep us all fed and watered. Above all the skiing was superb – a week of glorious sunshine accompanied by fantastic tuition from Pat, Rob, and James.  Many thanks.  (Tim Gate, Chalet Elise, February 2013)

Just back from another fabulous holiday with Skivo.  We were blessed with fabulous snow conditions, (although visibility wasn’t great through the week – which became a good test of our skiing….), and we really enjoyed the lessons once again.  Being able to ski in powder, both on and off-piste, so much this year was an excellent bonus and, as usual, the standard of catering was top notch.  Robin did a great job in accommodating our fussy youngest (Cathy) as part of producing kids meals in Nicola.  Thanks very much for another great skiing holiday.  (Paul Mullan, Chalet Nicola, Feburary 2013)

Can I say a huge thank you to you and the skivo2 team (especially Chris, Susan, Pat, Blake, Tracey, Sarah and Simon – who we personally dealt with).  We all had the most fantastic holiday and are all completely hooked on skiing, skivo2 and Courchevel.  You and the team are top class!  Julie, Jonny and the babies are coming up to see us this weekend and they are already talking about booking again for next year and encouraging more of our friends to come with us!  Thanks again and will be in touch.  (Nial Chapman, Chalet Yale, February 2013)

Hi Tracey, how was your train trip .hope it was good.  Our journey was on time both ways and the views where good to ,on the way back most of France by then was under a blanket of snow .the trees were all covered looked like a post card.  The holiday was really good too – great lessons with Rob, had a lot of fun.  The snow just kept falling all week with about 50 cm on Wednesday night so loads of powder on Thursday, not seen it like that for a good few years.  The lessons were at 9am so as they opened the mountain up do to late opening due to the deep snow etc we got first tracks all morning.  Then Friday out came the sun just to make the week end with style.  The staff were good in the chalet, food was good etc rooms good as we had not stayed in there before.   (Carl Padgham, Chalet Roger, February 2013)

Dave, Georgina, many thanks for yet another great skivo2 holiday.  Chalet Roger was ideal – the all en-suite made the difference – and all 3 of the chalet staff did a first class job.  Valli had a great time in Rob’s class, even though she missed the odd day with a stiff knee (age, not an injury).  Tom continued the  tradition of great coaching with pertinent feedback, not just exercises, and I skied places I’d not even have considered without him. I really felt that I progressed and had a great time. On the Wednesday Jim and I thought that we’d had the best day’s skiing ever and it couldn’t get better; back with Tom on Thursday it did.  Please give him my thanks.  We’ve missed a few years skiing (Australia, exams etc) and it is time to catch up.  Please do keep me on the mailing list and let me know of any last minute spaces, we might yet get another week in. (Robert Cawte, Chalet Roger, February 2013)

Good to be back at our desks? NOT!!  Thanks to all at skivo2 for a wonderful week in the Three Valleys. Great to be back after a few years and now realise what I’ve been missing. Fantastic conditions and great to be able to hopefully improve a bit in the fresh powder last Monday. Thanks to Tal & the girls in Chalet Roger & Blake for his tuition – no matter what level your skiing is at you will always learn from the instruction. Good to make new friends in the Chalet and in the lessons.  Thanks for your organisation here in the UK Tracey.  (Kenny Barbour, Chalet Roger, January 2013)

Many many thanks for your hospitality in Le Praz.  We again really enjoyed our stay with skivo2. The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming and extremely comfortable. The hosting and food was certainly up with the best we have experienced with the company.  Morven is an excellent host, she is organised, efficient and extremely pleasant.  Our chef Taite produced the nicest and most imaginatively varied dishes that we have ever had served to us. I would be happy to be served the dishes in an expensive restaurant. All in all, a superb week, snow was wonderful, tuition second to non.  Our grandchildren really had a ball of a week with Pat Cahill as their Icon.  Dave – Thank you so much we love coming to Skivo @ Le Praz.  (Tony Tomson, Chalet Murielle, January 2013)

We had a very good holiday. Please thank Donna for the fabulous food in the Elise. She’s so patient and even coped with a different order per person at breakfast! She and Ellen looked after everyone so well. Thanks also to Georgie for the lessons- fab in spite of the nerves. Who can we thank for the snow? The best for years. We had a brilliant lesson one day round the trees in the powder.  As always with Skivo2, it was lovely to go back to known places and be seen as known faces.   Hope you get the same conditions when you go out. (Liz Soane, Chalet Elise, January 2013)

We had a wonderful time in Le Praz and would like to book for next year, at the same time in the same chalet and room if possible.(Nina Moore, Chalet Rosalie, January 2013)

Had a fab week in Courch, can you let us know when we can reserve Elise for same week next year please.  (Alison Taylor, Chalet Elise, January 2013)

Hi Dave, just a quick thank you for such a great holiday , we were among the Duffy party of 15 , and had the best new year we have had in years . The snow conditions were amazing , I realise you didn’t have anything to do with that !! , the instructors were great , we all really enjoyed our afternoon lessons , and picked up a few great tips as well as loosing some old bad habits . The chalet was comfortable and warm , and we were well looked after, I can see why Alice and family have been coming for years.  Hope we will all be up for it again next year.  Enjoy the rest of the season , and once again thank you , you run a great company. (Mel Rotherham & Family, Chalet Roger, New Year 2012/13)

We would like to book again for next New Year.  If you could let me know as soon as possible that would be amazing. If you could also let me know which other rooms are free as I will try and persuade some friends to join us. Many thanks for an amazing holiday.(Tracy Beal, Chalet Nicola, New Year 2012/13)

Just got back. We had a great time and our chalet hosts Louise and Ashley were just wonderful. I was wondering if we can put in a request to book the same sooms in chalet Nicola this new year coming.  (Karen Higgins, Chalet Nicola, New Year 2012/13)

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone, we had another fantastic holiday in Le Praz with all the familiar faces and a few new. All 3 families loved it so many thanks to everyone.  I expect you won’t yet have next year’s diary in hand but I would just like to provisionally put our group of 15 down for next New Year again if possible for Chalet Roger (it’s the only one big enough!!)?  Thanks Tracey. I hope the rest of the season goes well. (Alice Duffy, Chalet Roger, New Year 2012/13)

We have only just returned from yet another wonderful skiing holiday with skivo2.  Many thanks and Happy New Year.  (Charlotte Heather, Chalet Elise, New Year 2012/13)

We’re having a great week here in Le Praz and Donna an Ellen are looking after us very well in Elise.  (Kirsty McHugh, Chalet Elise, New Year 2012/13)

Fantastic!!  All four of us had a fantastic Christmas together, with the lads being away at Uni now our time together is scarce so even more precious. skivo2 allows us to enjoy every minute with little stress (apart from that caused as a  result of our inadequate skiing skills!!!). Thank you all so much for providing us with the opportunity to have this experience.  From the minute we leave Scotland we are reassured we are on holiday, being met by reliable transfer people, greeted by welcoming, efficient, extrememly professional Host (Simon) and chef (Sarah), Susan, Blake and the Ski instructors providing another fantastic carefree holiday. Thank you so much skivo2. Best wishes for the rest of the 2013 ski season.  (Jacky Barrack, Chalet Yale, Christmas 2012

Having a great time ski-ing and the chalet is ideal . We’d love to repeat the booking for 2013/14 so if you have a list please add us.(Alistair McBeath, Chalet Murielle, Christmas 2012)

Just to let you know we had a fantastic week with skivo2 again, couldn’t fault it.   If poss can I put a provisional hold on our three rooms for Christmas week next season? (Chris Riggs & Family, Chalet Yale, Christmas 2012)

Hi Tracey, Thanks for organising the holiday – it was super and we had a lovely time in the chalet, the other family were great fun and Julian and Nicola looked after us superbly (food delicious). We were obviously very impressed with the quality of the instruction and I was lucky enough to have Dave B himself, and made a huge improvement in my skiing. He’s very passionate about the teaching and one couldn’t fail to improve. And the kids did as well with Georgie.  Thanks again.  (Richmond Family, Chalet Isabelle, Christmas 2012)

Just a wee message to say a massive thank you to all of you who made our holiday so fabulous.  We all had the best time ever skiing, the conditions were superb, the accommodation so comfortable, the instruction was brilliant, the food and chalet service exemplary……  Even the lovely Parkes family made our stay very special helping us out with their superior local knowledge.  The kids got on so well in their own wee group with Dave, and Pat had Dave and I laughing all the time in our group.  Rob and Ailsa were great, and Susan was there when we needed her;  Judith came home with a plaster on her forearm, and she is recovering well, and at least she only missed the last afternoon. We are looking into when it would be best for us to join you again next season, we’ve all been skivo-smitten, so fingers crossed, and keep us informed.  (Susan, David, Jessica, Lucy, Judith & Robbie Somerville, Chalet Rosalie, December 2012)

2011/12 ski season

A quick line to say many thanks to you and all the skivo2 team for another great holiday in Le Praz. Louise as chalet host was exceptional and the food from Donna equally so. Rob as charismatic as ever with the lessons, great stuff.  (Damien Doyle, Chalet Elise, Mar 2012)

Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time skiing recently. Thank you for all your help and efficiency in our booking.  We had somegreat snow, some lovely sunshine and plenty of good skiing. Once again we all felt that skivo2 looked after us really well and that standards of customer service are being maintained! Charlotte was thrilled to have 4 hours of 1:1 tuition with Pat during the first couple of days. We also felt that Taite was a superb chef and produced probably the best food we have ever had (despite him being very poorly during the week). Tom was a terrific instructor with a good sense of humour and good teaching technique and both myself and our sons enjoyed his lessons and felt that we improved.    Once again, many thanks for all your excellent support and thanks to everyone at the resort for helping to make our week so good.  (Bill Tindale, Chalet Yale, Mar 2012)

Just wanted to say thanks again for another great ski holiday with skivo2.  Organisation in the run up to the holiday and the week itself were just fantastic and the lessons with George were a great laugh.  Had a great time and already have a few in the group asking when we can book again which is always a good sign.  Louise and Donna in Elise were great, top food and hospitality.  Enjoy the rest of the season.  (Gill Doyle, Chalet Elise, Mar 2012)

Just a quick note to thank you for all your help in making the week run so smoothly.  We had a wonderful week in Le Praz and Chalet Roger.  Please pass on my best wishes to the team in the Chalet.  (Chris Bishop, Chalet Roger, Mar 2012)

I just thought I would drop you a quick note to thank you both for organising such a fantastic holiday.  Brian has always raved about the skivo2 experience and he was certainly not wrong!   I was discussing with Susan and the kids and we all agree that it was the perfect holiday.  There will be no more summer holidays for us… we have well and truly caught the ski bug.  (Nial Chapman, Chalet Elise, Feb 2012)

Well another fantastic week was had by all, great snow and the usual fantastic Skivo service. Please pass on my thanks to everyone.  (Alice Duffy, Chalet Corrie Blanc, Feb 2012)

We are just back from our week in Courchevel and had another great holiday.  Snow conditions were excellent and we were very well looked after in the Chalet and at lessons as usual.   (Paul Mullan, Chalet Roger, Feb 2012)

Just a quick note to say thanks for a great trip last week! Freddie and I had a fab time  – needless to say he was a lot better than me with the skiing and is now hooked. Our instructor, Tom, was brilliant and had Freddie on a couple of reds, a black and some off piste as well so he certainly packed it in for a first-ever week. Chalet Roger was great, as were Louise, Nikolai and Melinda – we loved the evening meals and, in my case, the fact that you could have as much wine as you wanted – oops. A definite plus, to go with those necessary Kir Royales.   I think skivo2 really scores with the instruction and the ski equipment, in the sense that Blake filled me with confidence as a technician when he was fitting me out, was really helpful, patient etc etc and the two guys who taught us were really patient but moved us on quickly, no-nonsense etc. Also loved the resort and appreciated the fact that it’s a great place to learn. We’d definitely go again. (Paul Hamblin, Chalet Roger, Feb 2012)

In addition to the feedback form I left in Corrie Blanc last week, I just wanted to let you know directly that we all had an absolutely fantastic time last week. Absolutely everyone and everything was perfect, so thank you very much and please pass on our thanks to all your staff.   (Anne, Mike & Jamie Parris, Chale Corrie Blanc, Feb 2012)

Just writing to let you know that you have a fantastic chef (Donna) at Chalet Elise in Courchevel – she catered fantastically to our veggie diets and managed to give me a whole week of food free from goats cheese!   (Mel Tomkings, Chalet Elise, Feb 2012)

We all had another great week in chalet Yale! Taite worked miracles in the kitchen and we very much enjoyed his delicious cakes.  (Tim Brierley, Chalet Yale, Feb 2012)

Just a note to say many thanks for another great holiday. I think this was the hardest one to come home from. A brilliant week was had by myself and Kirsten. Keep up the great work.  Thanks.  (Niall and Kirsten Gaffney, Chalet Roger, Jan 2012)

Dear Tracey,  It was so good to meet you in Le Praz last week. We all had a wonderful time, as we walked throught the village on the first night to Chalet Nicola to get our skis I thought I’d died and gone to heaven! Le Praz is so beautiful, the conditions were so wonderful, the chalet comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful, the food delicious, the skiing instruction so helpful, I honestly think it was the best skiing holiday I’ve ever had and we all enjoyed ourselves hugely.   Please can I do the same as I did this year and make a provisional booking for 2013 (to be confirmed when you go to press) right now? With every good wish, and thanks to everyone at skivo2. (Louisa Coxwell-Rogers, Chalet Roger, Jan 2012)

Taite’s food was on a par with anything I’ve had in a chalets and better than most.  I think the others all felt the same.  He has a formidable range of cook’s knives for someone so young! (David Jenkins, Chalet Yale, Jan 2012)

Just to let you know I had the most fantastic week. Skiing and chalet perfect in every way.   (Keith Bowden, Chalet Yale, Jan 2012)

Hi Tracey,   You’ll be in France now and glad that we saved you all that snow! This is just to say that we had a great week. Donna and Kate did us proud in Chalet Elise and Blake’s lessons were good too. As always, it was nice to be back on familiar ground in Le Praz and all the Merseysiders in their various chalets had fun.   Hope you have a brilliant week.   Very best wishes.  (Liz Soane, Chalet Elise, Jan 2012)

Thanks Tracey for organising everything from this end.  Everybody had a great holiday and are all keen to return again sometime.  Hope you’re managing to get out sometime as the snow is as good as I think most people have seen it. Many thanks again.  (Morna Jafferey, Chalet Roger, Jan 2012)

I had a fantastic time in Courchevel over the last three weeks, powder snow for the first week and then sun and good snow for the remainder.  Was a bit tough to leave on Saturday with all the snow that had fallen the night before!  The food in all the chalets was great, including Yale where Tait cooked us some lovely meals.  Hope you have a great time when you go out in a few weeks time, you should have good snow.  (Davina Blanchard, Chalet Elise Rosalie & Yale, Jan 2012)

JUST A QUICK LINE TO SAY A V BIG THANKYOU TO ALL AT SKIVO2 FOR A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!  Special thanks to Steph  for her vitality,  Rob for his wonderful cuisine and Issie for fantastic skiing tuition.  Hope to be back ASAP.  Lots of love & thanks to all.  x (Heidi Ranson, Chalet Corrie Blanc, Jan 2012)

Kev was brilliant – He is a huge asset to skivo2 and his cooking was excellent.  Always a great welcome and high standard of chalet staff.  (Colin Tyrer, Chalet Nicola, Jan 2012)

First time with skivo2, very impressed so will definitely return. (Chalet Corrie Blanc, Jan 2012)

Service and friendliness of Patrick and Faith was exceptional.  Made holiday a great experience.  (McAulay Family, Chalet Rosalie, Jan 2012)

Brilliant experience.  I have never skied before but felt we were well looked after and received excellent instruction. (Steve Crawford, Chalet Roger, Jan 2012)

Really impressed by friendliness of staff – always willing to help and ensure guests are enjoying their stay” (Joseland Family, Chalet Nicola, Jan 2012)

We did indeed have a great trip to Le Praz last week – team Donna proved a massive hit with the Gilbert party, with Pat and Georgie taking great care and attention covering us on the slopes, even the weather was “superb.” (Reg Gilbert, Chalet Elise, Jan 2012)

Would you pass on our thanks to the chalet staff and note our positive feedback of the chalet, staff and everything else in connection with our holiday. Once again we had a fantastic skiing holiday courtesy of skivo2. The food was fab, the chalet was 1st class and Patch and Faith were very obliging and great chalet hosts. .  The snow was great and there was certainly plenty of it – probably a bit too much too quickly. But the conditions were lovely.   We certainly hope to return next year so will be in touch in the not too distant future. Many thanks again. (Ann Annandale, Chalet Rosalie, Jan 2012)

Service of staff excellent, great value for money. (Chalet Roger, Jan 2012)

Just a quick thank you once again for a fantastic holiday. As ever, we seem to take snow with us and what a week it was. Great snow, great lessons and great accommodation. Thanks to Dave all the team who make this possible year on year. In particular the kids loved their lessons with Rob and our chef Taite was quite outstanding. Can’t wait for our next trip.   With this in mind… we are interested in spending the New Year week with you next year but guess this may book up early?  Thanks again and what a season is in store for your guests.  (Graeme Cornwell, Chalet Nicola, Jan 2012)

Despite the record amounts of snow and wind, we had an excellent time and thoroughly enjoyed Chalet Nicola and all of the instructors.  Many thanks.  (Kathaleen Stephenson, Chalet Nicola, Jan 2012)

Thanks for a fabulous week’s skiing – Donna and Katie were excellent. (Jim Bell, Chalet Elise, Dec 2011)

Thanks very much for yet another perfect ski week.  I don’t know how skivo2 manages to give such good value for the cost. The food (Rob the chef) was amazing and the hospitality (Steph the hottest hostess) was warm, fun and efficient.  Lessons with Izzy were hilarious and helpful.  Total happiness for a Xmas week…and SNOW ++.  Please pass this to Dave cos we love what he does! (Sally Whittet, Corrie Blanc, Dec 2011)

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we all had last week in Yale.  The chalet, staff (I have to say Chef Tait is a fantastic find!) and of course the fantastic snow all led to a brilliant week.  The personal service and the feeling we are returning to see good friends is priceless.   Is it possible to book again for next New Year week.  (Chris Riggs, Chalet Yale, Dec 2011)

The team in Chalet Nicola were the best.  It all went so well I couldn’t believe it.  Lauren (what a darling) and Kev(in) were so good.  I had a really, really good holiday, The best I have had with skivo2 – the snow was plentiful and every day was different. I learned a lot.  I am looking forward my March holidy with skivo2 immensely. I only hope all this snow gets topped-up and lasts for the next 10 weeks. (Gary Bidwell, Chalet Nicola, Dec 2011)

We had a fabulous time in Rosalie and  were looked after so well by Faith and Patch that we are keen to come again next year.  (Alison Creasy, Chalet Rosalie, Dec 2011)

Home and thinking about our next trip!! Fantastic snow and the rest of the holiday just went perfectly.   Would it be possible to place a provisional booking for the Christmas week next season?  (Jacky Barrack, Chalet Yale, Dec 2011)

We had a great week in Le Praz last week in Chalet Nicola.  Many thanks to Kevin and Lauren in the chalet for looking after us so well and the rest of the skivo team in Le Praz for a great weeks skiing.   We enjoyed it so much that we are considering going again this season.  (Gary Kelso, Chalet Nicola, Dec 2011)
