Our inhouse nanny service is run by British staff (who are either fully qualified nannies or have extensive experience in working with children of all ages). They are directly employed by skivo2 to manage our nanny service during the winter season. Situated in Le Praz, our nanny looks after your children in one of our guest chalets. They provide a structured, happy and stimulating environment for babies, toddlers and older children alike.
From 8.30am each morning until 5.00pm each evening (six days a week, Sunday to Friday) we ensure that full childcare provision is on hand to enable you to enjoy your ski holiday to the fullest, safe in the knowledge that your child is well looked after and contented, which is of the utmost importance to us.
The nanny service must be prebooked and prepaid in advance of your holiday. As we work to childcare ratios we are unable to pro rata childcare for part week – the nanny service must be booked and paid for the duration of the week. Due to our strict childcare ratios we are unable to take bookings after your arrival in resort.
Please call the UK office to confirm availability. You will be invoiced as part of your final holiday balance for payment.
Don’t forget to bring a bag on holiday for your child for their special drinking cups, favourite blankets or toys, nappies or anything else that would make their day with our nanny as happy as possible.

Snowflake nanny service

- Runs until 5.00pm
- Hot lunch

Skiing children from 5 – 8 years who are using the Snowflake nanny service will have their ski lesson for 2 hours in the morning and then be collected by the nanny. On a Wednesday (the ski instructor’s day off) these children would normally ski with their parents in the morning and be collected by the nanny at 11.00am and be provided with lunch and afternoon activities. Alternatively, parents may choose to use the nanny service all day – please arrange a mutually convenient time with the nanny service.
To make a nanny service enquiry or reservation please email us.
Both a mid morning and afternoon snack will be provided as will lunch including a hot main course and pudding, prepared by the nannies. Unlimited soft drinks will also be provided throughout the course of the day.
If your child is 12 months or under, we would strongly recommend that you bring your own jars of baby food which your child is used to. This avoids the chance of any tummy upsets due to the change of food on arrival. However, we will have available jars of French baby food for lunch.
Please bring along your own nappies and baby milk for your child if your child requires these.
We endeavour to ensure that the children have the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities such as:
- Piste side picnics and bubble riding
- Snowmen and igloo building
- Indoor and outdoor treasure hunts
- Creative sessions – colouring, face painting, drawing
- Quiet sessions such as story telling or videos
- Music and games
- Cookie making and cake decorating
A daily activity plan is devised by the nannies on a weekly basis and all activities are tailored to suit the ages of the children that week along with the daily weather conditions. Regular walks and plenty of fresh air are incorporated into the daily activity plan.
In the chalets
Please be aware that whilst the normal chalet breakfast is available in the morning for children under 2 years of age, you are asked to cater for them yourself in the evening. You are very welcome to help yourself to any leftover food from dinner the evening before and your chalet staff will assist you with this as much as possible.
For those aged 2 years and above a “Kids’ Tea” can be arranged with your chalet hosts at around 6.00pm each evening. We find that most parents prefer their children to eat earlier so that they can then enjoy an adult dinner along with a relaxing glass of wine at 8.00pm. Please let us know in advance if you would prefer a “Kids’ Tea” for your children. If your child has any particular dietary requirements then please notify us in advance of coming on holiday so we can accommodate them.
A babysitting service is also available (at an additional hourly rate) on your chalet hosts’ night off. Because this service gets quickly booked during peak holiday periods we suggest that you enquire about this service upon arrival in resort to avoid disappointment or prebook the service via the UK office.
